The age groups being auditioned start at 5 years old! Children will get a wonderful opportunity to enhance their talents and discover new skills, build self-confidence, and do something that will bring them lots of joy. There will be different dance troupes formed from the auditions according to the age groups available,

SO, WHO IS GRIZZLY HIDRIAGO & WHY JOIN THE GRIZZLY DANCE COMPANY?

A LITTLE HISTORY...

Grizzly Dance Company was initially created in 203 in Caracas, Venezuela (South America), under the direction of Grizzly Hidriago, a highly acclaimed dancer and choreographer, whom at the time had been very distinguished within a trajectory of 15 years of professionalism in his artistic career.

Grizzly Hidriago, just a year ago, opened his integral school of dance: Grizzly Dance Company International, in the city of Los Angeles, CA, and has already obtained numerous prizes and recognitions in group competitions, couples competitions, and solo competitions where his students won ahead of many other dancers of other schools and backgrounds.

Grizzly is the current two-time World Champion in the Cabaret Style of the World Latin Dance Cups of 2010 and 2011. And among the accomplishment obtained by his team and his trained dancers, are the following:

- 1st place: 2011 Professional Team Competition at Stevens Steak House (LA)
- 1st place: 2011 Professional Team Competition at the Las Vegas Salsa Congress 
- 1st place: 2011 Semi-pro Solo Salsa Competition at Stevens Steak House (LA)
- 1st place: 2011 Professional Couple Competition at Granada Nightclub (LA)
- 1st place: 2011 Professional Couple Jack & Jill Competition at High Desert Dance Classic 
- 2nd place: 2011 Professional Cabaret Team Competition at the World Latin Dance Cup in Las Vegas, Nevada
- 2nd place: 2011 Amateur Team Competition at the World Latin Dance Cup in Las Vegas, Nevada
- 1st place: 2011 Ultimate Latin Dance Champions Group Competition at Stevens Steak House (LA) 
- 1st place: 2010 Jack & Jill Dance Competition at Monsoon Cafe (Santa Monica, CA) 
- 1st place: 2010 Professional Solo Dance Competition  
- 2nd place: 2010 Pro-Am USA Salsa Open in San Francisco, CA PLACE PRO-AM USA SALSA OPEN SF 2010.

Now, as a dancer myself and one who has seen a lot of dance teams in Los Angeles since the days of Salsa Brava Dance Company, I can tell you, Grizzly Dance Company is truly one that has impacted the LA Scene with its name, its prestige, and all its wins in so many competitions, one after the other! 

Grizzly Hidriago trains and prepares his dancers in dance genres and techniques that include Salsa On1, Salsa On2, Jazz, Cabaret, Hip Hop, and many more. And this is why his dancers are so advanced and have come out above the rest in all those competitions lsited above. 

Aside from such said accomplishments, Grizzly Dance Company International and its director Grizzly Hidriago have also had the opportunity of working with and choreographing for major artists in concerts, television, and musicals. A few of these artists are:
