ALMA DEL BARRIO RADIO 88.9 FM — Alma Del Barrio's coverage range from its Loyola Marymount University (LMU)'s transmitting quarters must have increased in the past few months, because they are truly filling up the airways of Los Angeles with the great Latin music they play.

This past weekend, as I ran some errands in the Westwood/Hollywood area, I could clearly listen to the great selection of songs by Alma Del Barrio 88.9 FM all throughout the morning!

KJAZZ - JAZZ & WINE — KJAZZ 88.1 FM has teamed up with PROJECT ANGEL FOOD to bring us the 9th Annual Summer Jazz Series at Hollywood and Highland Center, in Hollywood, CA. The event will be ongoing between June 7th and August 30th, every Tuesday at the H&H courtyard, between 7 and 9 PM.

PROJECT ANGEL FOOD - HOLLYWOOD, CA — Hollywood & Highland Center is having its 9th Annual Summer Jam Series to benefit Project Angel Food, every Tuesday from June to August between 7 and 9 PM.

Going by the name of "JAZZ & WINE," the event's venue is fantastic, the music is tremendous, and the benefit is one that truly deserves your support. 

Project Angel's Food mission is to nourish the body and spirit of men, women, and children affected by HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-threatening illnesses. I happened to be dancing at Stevens Steak House, a local nightclub in Los Angeles, when I heard a tune coming out of the speakers that really made me want to dance! Quickly, I grabbed (asked kindly) a girl who I knew could feel the music the way I did and we headed to the dance floor.
