Ana Rosa Design dresses dancers in the Salsa competition and performance community

ANA ROSA DESIGN — Today, when you watch a Salsa show or competition in Los Angeles, part of what makes it a very pleasant experience is the fact that the dancers seem to be dressed so well with flashy and sexy costumes. This wasn't always the case in LA, where dancers used to simply wear matching clothes to function as costumes for dance performances or competitions.

Ana Rosa Design has played a principal role in what has changed how Salsa dancers dress on-stage. She began providing uniquely designed costumes to dancers in the Salsa Community around the year of 2008. Some of the first salsa teams and dancers to wear her designs were those related to the "Tropical Rhythm" dance company in Los Angeles. And as soon as other dancers and dance troupes realized how well-dressed TR dancers were, they also bega

n going to Ana Rosa to get their costumes made.

No other dance costume designer in LA even comes close to the style and unique quality that Ana Rosa delivers. Her costumes are made to fit the body of the person who will wear it, they are not made with standard sizes that will look loose or tight on-stage. She will measure each and every dancer and produce a costume that will fit him or her, precisely.

Before Ana Rosa, dancers were forced to go search for costume ideas at the downtown L.A. fashion district, where mixing and matching of various 'flashy' or 'revealing' clothes were the way to go. Or go down to Hollywood boulevard to Frederick's or any of those female sexy clothes stores to see if they carried anything decent enough to wear on-stage. Or finally, some dancers knew of seamstresses who could put together customes for them, but most of the time they were simply dull, boring, and non-attractive for on-stage performances.

Ana Rosa, whose background is in the beauty pageant community and high-fashion for popular Latino personalities, began introducing other methods of creating costumes, such as the use of real feathers, swarovski crystals, a great variety of pattern designs, and all sorts of colorful materials. All of this, compiled with the great results that Ana Rosa delivered, gave the dance community a whole "new look" where dance outfits assimilated to outfits typically seen in dance television shows, such as "Dancing with the Stars."

Today, dancers all over Los Angeles wear the Ana Rosa Design brand and those who appreciate on-stage performances for shows and/or competitions, have become used to and have come to expect the great quality of fashion that dancers wear. Although there are still some dancers who opt to go on different routes when it comes to their costumes, over 80% of all dancers wear Ana Rosa Design unique designs. Once you've worn her work, it's very difficult to expect anything lower than what only she offers in Los Angeles.
