SALSAHOOK.COM — Alma Latina is a dance academy that stems from Tijuana, Mexico and is directed by professional world renowned salsa dancers, Sergio Jasso and Gaby Equiz. 

In the recent years, Alma Latina has taken the world of salsa by storm with their highly-acclaimed on-stage dance performances, their winnings of numerous dance competitions, and simply the pure talent that each and every one of their dancers seems to possess. All of which is directly representative of the training they all receive and speaks very well of the methodology that Gaby and Sergio implement. 

With their first satellite branch school inside the U.S. being in San Diego, CA, which is reasonably close to Tijuana, Mexico, Alma Latina seeked to move to Los Angeles, a world mecca of salsa dancing, and not just teach there, but also hold auditions for their four teams: amateur, intermediate, semi-pro, and professional. 

Eventually, Alma Latina made the move, but landed a bit short of Los Angeles and inside Orange County, which to many salsa dancers actually living in Los Angeles was just too far to travel to. None of which hindered their success, it should be noted, as the name "Alma Latina" grew stronger in popularity and numerous were the dancers who auditioned to join their performance dance teams. 

But still, there were always anxious hopes by many in LA that Alma Latina would eventually move inside Los Angeles city. And now, the wait is over!

Alma Latina will be opening up a satellite branch inside Los Angeles, in Eagle Rock, starting June 12. They will be teaching Salsa lessons in On1 (LA Style) and On2 (Mambo) styles of dance, plus Bachata dancing classes, Ladies Styling classes, and Kids Salsa classes.

It is important to note that their salsa lessons On2 will be taught in progressive courses to ensure understanding of technique, rhythm, and fluidity of dance.
