Change Your LocationSalsaHook.com | The Day After a Major Salsa Congress Weekend
Written by Milton Rodas
SALSAHOOK.COM — After four straight days of dancing day and night at salsa workshops and salsa concerts of a salsa congress, the body tends to feel a little exhausted, the feet might hurt a little if you happened to disregard 'comfort' in the name of 'fashion', but the memories, adrenaline, and need to dance again, and very soon, is all over you as if you didn't have enough salsa.
Hardcore salsa dancers who don't go to just one or two nights of a salsa congress, but choose to attend the full event, go to all workshops, and dance unstoppably all night long until 3 or 4 AM, know the great feeling and adrenaline rush that having so much salsa fun gives you. And they also know how feet tend to feel afteward, along with legs and muscles that you didn't even know you had. But in the end, it's all worth it!
So, what to do after a weekend at a major Salsa Congress event?
Dance and dance more! That's the only medication there is. Maybe use shoes that provide much more comfort and not the high heels or hard sole shoes that may seem more fashionable. It is all about comfort for at least 3-4 days or a week for some people.
What you want to make sure of is that you can go out and dance for weeks, months, and years to come! So take care of your body! A lifetime of dancing is worth more than a couple of years of craziness, or a weekend of madness!
All in all, dance is a perfect therapy for the body, mind, and soul. Enjoy the memories, watch all the videos that come up on youtube or upload your own, and simply continue sharing the joy of Salsa with all you can!
Let's keep our beautiful dance and music alive!
